Okay, so I finished book 1 early this morning and then immediately bought book 2 (this one). And I'm already done. Talk about a fast and fun read!

Now, I do recommend reading book 1 first. You'll understand our game, our game owners, and the changes to the game this season.

In this book, the author does a better job of letting us get to know some of his characters. A few (mostly those who die early) are thinly drawn. But for those who last, we really get to know them. I had a clear favorite in this book.

Definitely a fun popcorn read for those who enjoy reality TV mixes with a little violence and a strong, butt kicking character!

On to book 3!

By the way, I'm beginning to believe the author does something almost unforgivably spoiler-y with the books in this series. I'm waiting to see if my theory pans out with book three. If it does, I'll know the spoiler-y bit within the first 25 pages or so of the book. I hope I'm wrong and it was just coincidence.

I was so excited to receive a copy of this one! The Mall is another fast, interesting read from Voss Foster. I highly recommend reading The Park first to grasp the story, and the author's unique way of storytelling.
The Park is one of my favorite finds of 2015, so I was super excited to read The Mall.

It's a bit slower than The Park, because the story centers around the creators of the game instead of the players. But it was still a great read and I can't wait to see what happens next.
