I love all manor of dragon books minus romance ones. I picked up this book because I thought it'd focus on dragons. It doesn't really. The book starts off with the main character meeting a comically scary dragon and sharing some roasted chicken with it. Then the boy starts telling the story of how he ended up on that very same mountain and the book jumps to a flashback. For the rest of the story the boy recounts why the villagers forced him onto the mountain alone with a dragon. I really didn't find myself enjoying it and started reading ahead. I don't like reviewing stories when I have mixed feelings like this because my rating is heavily biased against the fact that the story simply wasn't what I wanted to read.
